Choosing the Right Collar for a Dog Gift
Thinking about giving the pet enthusiast on your Christmas list a new dog collar for their dog or cat? Follow this guide to help you choose the best collar:
Know the pet’s personality.
Is the pet active? Is it a boy, or is it a girl? Does the dog spend a lot of time outside or inside? All of these factors will help you figure out the right size, color, and materials.
Pick a price point.
Every collar sold by dogIDs is made in the U.S.A., and the quality is guaranteed to outlast that of major pet stores. In fact, all our products are backed with a 100% satisfaction guaranteed for life! From nylon, to waterproof, to Italian Leather, a wide variety of collars is available for every style and budget.
Choose the collar size.
Here’s where it gets a little tricky if you don't have easy access to the pet you're shopping for. If at all possible, try to get a measurement of the dog’s neck in inches. If this isn’t possible, contact our customer service department and they will do their best to help you choose a collar based on breed and additional dog information. If the collar ends up being the wrong size, our exchange policy is hassle-free.
To assist you in choosing the right size collar, watch this brief sizing video below. If you have any additional sizing questions, feel free to comment on this blog! You may also contact dogIDs at 800-720-8247 or service@dogids.mom.
